APPLICATION QUESTIONS
1. List all the prayer requests that start with "may. " in verses 1-5.
2. What is God's desire for His people in praying for those in authority? Consider 1st Timothy 2:1-3 and 1st Peter 2:13-17.
3. The favor of God has already been purchased for us by the blood of Christ. Why do we find ourselves living as though we must earn it? How does the Gospel help us fight against this way of thinking?
4. What are some things that you are tempted to trust in today for hope, security, stability? Read vs. 7. What is David warning us against? How can we build our confidence in the LORD?
5. Read Psalm 21. How is related to Psalm 20. Discuss.
6. What does it mean for God to give David his "heart's desire?" How does that apply for the believer today?
